Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Insp Salewa Ahmed informed the court that Morufu committed the crime on Jan. 19, at Idi-aro area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Shedding more light on the matter, Ahmed stated that the defendant was apprehended after the complainant, Ms Eniola Opeyemi raised an alarm at the Idi-Aro police station that one of her customers had cheated on her.

According to the prosecution, Opeyemi said that she received the agreed fee after offering Morufu her services on Jan 19.

He added that the defendant however, went back to the room in the absence of the complainant and stole the money and her N46,000 worth of Infinix smart phone.

Ahmed said that the offence contravened the provisions of section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap. 38 Vol. ii Law of Oyo State of Nigeria 2000. (NAN)
