The International Police (INTERPOL) has released a wanted list of 14 Nigerians implicated in various crimes including human trafficking, narcotics trafficking, robbery, deception, and fraud. The individuals are being sought by authorities across different countries for offences allegedly committed within their jurisdictions.

Among those listed in the Red Notices posted on INTERPOL’s official website on Tuesday, December 24, are Felix Omoregie, Jessica Edosomwan, Jude Uzoma, Uche Egbue, Chinedu Ezeunara, Benedict Okoro, Ikechukwu Obidiozor, and Alachi Stanley. Others on the list include Mary Eze, Timloh Nkem, Austine Costa, Okromi Festus, Akachi Vitus, and Bouhari Salif

According to the notices, Felix Omoregie is wanted by Belgian authorities for allegedly leading a criminal organisation that uses children in prostitution. The charges against him include human trafficking for prostitution or other forms of sexual exploitation. The notice provides further details, listing Omoregie’s date of birth as October 22, 1977, making him 47 years old, and his nationality as Nigerian.

Jessica Edosomwan is being sought by French authorities for multiple counts of human trafficking, including victimizing several individuals. The notice highlights her involvement in organizing competitions among gangs to hide or convert the proceeds from her criminal activities.

Chinedu Ezeunara is wanted by the Venezuelan government for suspected drug trafficking, while the Uruguayan authorities are also seeking him for the same offence. Benedict Okoro is wanted by Nicaraguan authorities for suspected organised crime, and Uche Egbue is sought by Argentinean authorities for suspected drug trafficking.

INTERPOL’s website further reveals that Ikechukwu Obidiozor, Akachi Vitus, and Alachi Stanley are wanted by the Angolan government for alleged crimes including kidnapping, robbery, and illegal possession of firearms.

Other international alerts indicate that Canada is seeking Timloh Nkem for alleged sexual assault and failure to comply with a legal condition. China has requested the extradition of Bouhari Salif for drug smuggling, while Denmark is seeking Chinedu Eze for his involvement in human trafficking.

Austine Costa is wanted by India for criminal conspiracy, forgery of documents, and possessing forged documents with the intent to use them as genuine. Okromi Festus is sought for criminal conspiracy and cheating.

INTERPOL clarified that the Red Notices are not arrest warrants but are intended to notify the public about individuals who may pose potential dangers. “A red notice is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and temporarily arrest an individual pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action,” the statement read.

It continued, “A red notice is not a warrant for an international arrest. The international tribunal or the requesting member nation wants the individuals. Member nations use their legal frameworks when determining whether to make an arrest.”

INTERPOL has urged the public to report any information regarding the whereabouts of the wanted individuals to their local police authorities.
