Fire guts Kubwa village market Abuja, many feared dead

The popular Kubwa Village Market in the Bwari Area Council, Abuja, is currently on fire, leading to the death of an unspecified number of persons.

The incident which occurred on Friday evening razed down several shops.

According to Daily Post, although details of the inferno are still sketchy as of press time, a source disclosed that the incident followed a tanker explosion close to the market.

According to her, many corpses have been recovered from the scene of the incident.

The incident comes a few days after a 21-storey building collapsed on Gerrard Road, in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State.
