LONDON – August 1, 2025 – As the month of August begins, the Central Association of Nigerians in the United Kingdom (CANUK) has extended heartfelt greetings to members of the Nigerian community across the UK, urging unity, resilience, and collective progress.

In a message signed by the CANUK Executive Committee, the association wished all Nigerians a month filled with peace, prosperity, and meaningful opportunities. The statement, titled “Happy New Month from CANUK”, encouraged the community to embrace August with renewed energy and hope, despite the global challenges facing diaspora communities.

“May this month bring new opportunities, strengthen our bonds as a community, and fill your homes with joy and laughter,” the message read, emphasizing the importance of solidarity, compassion, and shared responsibility within the Nigerian diaspora.

CANUK, which serves as the umbrella body for Nigerian socio-cultural and professional organisations in the UK, reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare, safety, and advancement of Nigerians living in the country. The statement also highlighted the organisation’s ongoing efforts to promote dialogue, cultural heritage, and unity among members.

“Let us continue to support, uplift, and look out for one another, because together, we are stronger,” the message concluded.

As Nigerians in the UK begin a new month, CANUK’s message serves as a timely reminder of the power of community and the importance of staying connected to one’s identity and values, even while living abroad.

The association encouraged members to stay proud of their roots and remain active participants in building a stronger, more vibrant Nigerian community in the UK.

Happy New Month from CANUK!
