Breaking: Federal govt deactivates Twitter in Nigeria

The Federal government has finally deactivated the Twitter account of all Nigerians.

At about 12.30 am Saturday morning the micro-blogging site was no longer working in Nigeria.

Daily Blast had earlier reported that the the Federal government had ordered telecommunication companies in Nigeria to deactivate twitter by 12 midnight on Friday.

This is sequel to the anouncement that the operations of Twitter has been suspended in Nigeria for deleting genocidal tweets of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Nigerians have been reacting over the ban of Twitter in a country of millions of subscribers.

ndividuals and groups have since condemned the action of the federal government.
