Abia govt confirm arrest of naval officers who assaulted women

Abia State government has confirmed the arrest of the two Naval officers involved in assaulting female customers at a Salon in Aba.

In a viral video published by Daily9jaInfo earlier today, the Naval officers had invaded the local Salon and flogged the female customers, workers and made away with an item which those behind the CCTV camera described as a mobile phone.

The information was shared on X (formerly known Twitter) by an investigative journalist, PIDOMNIGERIA and the video generated a lot of buzz online as netizens called on the attention on the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti.

Reacting over the unprofessional acts of the Naval Officers, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Nedu Ekeke, revealed that the officers have been arrested and will be tried soon. “The Abia State Government is sad that some personnel of the Nigerian Navy did this. But we can announce that the officers involved have been arrested and will be tried soon,” Nedu said
