27-year-old arrested for decapitating his 80-year-old aunt in Ogun

The police in Ogun state have arrested a 27-year-old man identified as Afeez Adesina for allegedly decapitating his 80-year-old aunt, Aduke Alukete, at her home in the Ado Odo Ota area of the state on Friday, December 27.

The suspect’s evil action was brought to light by one Aderamu Jelili Ademola, who reported to the police that Adesina entered the home of the 80-year-old victim and decapitated her with a knife.

He was arrested while attempting to flee the scene of the incident.

The Divisional Police Officer of the area along with a team of detectives, visited the scene of the incident and evacuated the body of the victim to Ilaro General Hospital mortuary for an autopsy.

The suspect has been transferred to the State CID in Abeokuta for further investigation.

When interrogated, the unemployed suspect, said he killed his aunt because he believed her death would make him secure a job as soon as possible.
